At 3:12 a.m., a finance server starts renaming files by the hundred. The one person on call is asleep. With the Endpoint DIP, Ollandi links the renames to a remote-access tool installed two days earlier and finds the same tool on two more servers. The encrypting process is killed and all three servers are isolated under the emergency protocol you approved in advance. Nobody had to be woken first.
